ok first off we are not allowed to have "friends" on other forums and secondly I think it may be a VF although my grading skills aren't very good at circulated Morgans

VF30-EF40. I can't tell from the pics if the breast feathers have any real definition. If they do, then I'd go with EF40. The other thing to be careful of is its authenticity. This is one of the key dates in the series. I don't see anything right off that makes me feel it is a fake, but I'm not a Morgan expert. We have quite a few of those here, and I'm sure they'll chime in soon. If you could post clearer pics, that would help. 2007 Red Book values this coin at $240 in VF and $440 in EF. Browsing through ended auctions on ebay, I estimate the value of this coin ungraded at around $250.

I was typing my reply at the same time as you. Most of the hairlines are clear with only the highest ones showing wear. That's where I came up with my VF30-EF40 range. Though, given the "key date" status of this coin, I'm sure the TPG's would find a way to boost it to EF45. And look at what I found when I was searching for values on ebay... http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1...717176&mpre=http://cgi.ebay.com/1892-CC-PCGS-XF45-MORGAN-SILVER-DOLLAR-N788_W0QQitemZ 320055704774QQihZ011QQcategoryZ39465QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

VF30 -Ef40 is a good range for the photo Of course I am not an expert either the Braest Feathers look worn or atleast a weak strike the photo is hard to see( Still Better than Mine though)

I think its a little better than VF30 as theres more than a few feathers visible on eagles head and breast.I downloaded the picks to my photo shop and tried to sharpen them a bit. I would say VF35 to EF40,possibly a litter higher with better pics.

VF-35 If you want to follow the Grading Guides, EF-40 by market standards. And I wont even get into ebay standards !! Rick

EF45 money in the market. Given the date/mint, the true grade is irrelevant. But, since you asked, I'd call it VEF38. Edit: Why do you two have your own discussion about this in the forum?

You have good detail on Liberty's hair and on the eagle. I would say EF-45. I do have a concern that this might be cleaned, but a clearer picture would be needed.
