mueller14 New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 09/24/2011 7:35 pm I have a 1999 Delaware minted Georgia State Quarter. but it look to be silver, usually (d) would be clad. did they make proofs in Delaware? or it is a error? Report this Post to the Staff

They sold quarters that were plated after it left the mint. They can be found in silver, gold, and platinum plated. The plating is so thin that it doesn't add any intrinsic value to the coin. Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 09/24/2011 7:50 pm Your quarter was minted in Denver. Silver and silver clad quarters have the S mint mark -- for San Fransico. That's where they work with silver. I don't think that there is any chance at all that you have a silver coin. Can you post a picture? Report this Post to the Staff
