I have a 1999 Delaware minted Georgia State Quarter. but it look to be silver, usually (d) would be clad. did they make proofs in Delaware? or it is a error?
More than likely this is one of the many plated quarters sold in magazines and on QVC. They sold quarters that were plated after it left the mint. They can be found in silver, gold, and platinum plated. The plating is so thin that it doesn't add any intrinsic value to the coin.
Your quarter was minted in Denver. Silver and silver clad quarters have the S mint mark -- for San Fransico. That's where they work with silver. I don't think that there is any chance at all that you have a silver coin. Can you post a picture?
