Hi I don't collect world coins, but years ago I had to buy this florin, thinking of putting it up on the CCF auction, wondering what grade and value Or interest I might expect, Thanks..

I don't collect Australian coins, ( I am into other areas of numismatics now), but being from Oz, you would expect that I would know a little about them. 35 years ago, I sold a complete silver and bronze type set of pre decimal coins, made up of rarest dates (no 1930 penny).

Even so, I still have about 5x 1927 Parliament House commemorative florins, simply because I like the design. The best of mine is about the equivalent of yours pictured here, which I would grade as good EF. There is just the tiniest amount of wear on the heads of the maces, and on the King's beard, which is difficult to spot, even with your excellent pictures. The toning is a bit unattractive, but I would not touch it.

In good EF, the book value of this coin is around $100, but would bring less on ebay.

gEF.
These are my favorite pre decimal Aussi coins.
A good percentage of these are found in great condition.
The normal 1927 florin is rarly seen in this condition

MS-58 or aUNC. Lovely toning which normally brings a premium at auctions. Unfortunately most of these coins are in high grades due to being a comemorative coin and people stashing them away.
