sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 09/25/2011 04:15 am I don't collect Australian coins, ( I am into other areas of numismatics now), but being from Oz, you would expect that I would know a little about them. 35 years ago, I sold a complete silver and bronze type set of pre decimal coins, made up of rarest dates (no 1930 penny). Even so, I still have about 5x 1927 Parliament House commemorative florins, simply because I like the design. The best of mine is about the equivalent of yours pictured here, which I would grade as good EF. There is just the tiniest amount of wear on the heads of the maces, and on the King's beard, which is difficult to spot, even with your excellent pictures. The toning is a bit unattractive, but I would not touch it. In good EF, the book value of this coin is around $100, but would bring less on ebay. Report this Post to the Staff
