I was surprised to find in a roll from chubb. Since it is not completely flat, I thought it would be rejected by whatever machine is rolling the coins

Nice find! Keep searching those rolls for more! Have you found any foreign coins while searching them? Other then the usual Kiwi or Fiji 5 Cents....

I found a coin from Brunei in a Chubb roll (which is a very close match as far as size goes), and a New Zealand Sixpence. I have also seen a couple of slightly bent coins in the Chubb rolls, so I guess their machines are not too sensitive in removing them. In loose bags from the bank I have found a Singapore 20 cents, and an American 1 cent. I have been keeping the Fiji and New Zealand ones too, but not sure if I should bother.

Great find there Buddy! i keep my eye out looking for these things, one day maybe.
I love the old NZ 5c coins! I am trying to get a few together. IF I do find more strange stuff I will add to the list.

Hi Gecko, Once I have enough posts and am allowed to trade on here, I might trade the New Zealand coins I find. In the mean time, I will keep any NZ coins I find.

ahhh another one like me. I have a pile building up to sell and trade just awaiting my post's to go up. (some days it goes down..... I dont know why) That would be great if you could hold some for me! If I find anything you are looking for I will put it away till I get the magic 250 post count.

Nice find! You would think that would get rejected by the machine but guess not

The Chubb rolls seem to allow a fair amount of "variety". As I said I have had some bent coins in Chubb rolls. I am pretty sure that coin would be rejected by the coin depositing machine at the bank I use as it seems to very sensitive to any damage. I also think the miss struck coin I found would be rejected by all the vending machines if it was used in one.
