What is the proper way to store my ASE's? I have the square air tight - the round air tight with black gasket - the round direct fit with no gasket.

I prefer the one in the middle, but a dealer told me that they don't like those because it creates black toning around the coin. What do you guys think?

Thank you

I can see where the middle one could be good (better seal) or bad (volatile material affecting the coin).

I believe the ring is a safe material because BadThad uses this type for his Lincoln cents. I trust his judgement.

Thanks jbuck! I think the one with the ring is so much more appealing to eye. =)

The problem with the round air tight holders (Without the ring) is that the coin gets stuck inside it.

The middle one looks the most appealing. Nice black and silver contrast.

You are probably talking about ASEs you wish to keep for display. My ASE bullion in the safe deposit box is in the original mint tubes or CoinEdge holders. The CoinEdge holders are inexpensive which is why I like them. I don't see why they wouldn't work for display as well. Link removed by Forum Mom - Please read the rules.
Yep, I saw the rules and shouldn't have put the link in. Sorry about that!

I have a couple of the air tites with the black gasket around the outside. I like them but decided they just add too much size to the holder for my tastes. I would use it if I had a really unique coin that I wanted to have on display.

I also use the kind with the gasket. I really like them and no toning on my ASE'S from it.
