This is why I love ebay.

ebay Item: 220848793339.

I got a 1881H micro D, and a 1859 triple punch E in DEI, and triple punch D in CANADA...for less than $3 each

Thats a very sweet deal, it obviously pays to pay close attention to whats being sold on E Bay, it also pays to know your coins, knowledge is power.
Well done..

Wow...great finds! That's smaller, underlying D is interesting!
Obviously, ebay is being so well searched...that I might as well not even try.

Kurt, I don't know why you should not try, everyone does.
Not everyone else is as lucky as Dan, but the tide willl turn, some day.....
BTW, are you still "up North", or back where you were?

Well...I now better know the level of expertise I'm competing against on ebay.
Easier for me to find my overdates, etc. at local shows.
Hi Dick--how are you? Yes, I'm living now in the Seattle area.

Its always worth searching...

Zonad has picked up several coins I completely missed, including a nice 1872 50c A/V in scratched VF for $50, and a 1882H hub tripled REGINA

The other downside to variety hunting is ending up with too many "variety-less" coins that looked like they were but weren't....

I now have hundreds of variety-less large cent Vickies that I dont know what to do with!

Yes...plenty :)...just have to decide which ones to keep. I'm partial to badly repunched numbers and letters...

Die cracks and vines...not so much :)
