ilikeikes Pillar of the Community United States 1205 Posts	Posted 10/01/2011 7:01 pm I got 4 rolls of cents at my local bank, ALL in old paper wraps...all but 1 cent was pre 82!, so, my copper stash just grew by a few more ounces!(I sell the copper by the pound, after I accumulate a bunch) Anyway, this stunning 1970-S Large Date was in the mix...there are virtually NO die flow lines showing, either side, a "First Strike" cent, so to say...I think it's after the first 200 or so coins made when the die starts to age, and show flow lines, correct me if I am wrong on that...I just love finding EDS coins...so pristine..there ARE polish lines of course, yet, many times, thay ADD to the luster with their reflectivity...curious how this would grade? hesgut Pillar of the Community 1028 Posts	Posted 10/01/2011 10:42 pm yeah, it's pretty nice, but since it's not a SD, it's not really nice enough to be collectible. Living close to San Francisco, I find S-minted cents in AU all the time. Well, "all the time" meaning 1 out of every 50 cents is S minted and 1 out every 3 of those is AU. From what I've heard these things are few and far in between on the east coast. Report this Post to the Staff
