I think more AU-50. Looks like there is still some good luster to it as well.

I think the coin holder may be hiding some significant marking in the fields on both the obverse & reverse. As the coin appears, I will also say it has been cleaned.

I know a lot of us are into details so I decided to add some data.

First, I know many of you probably noticed that the original Obverse Picture posted shows 5 staples while the Reverse only has 4. I can assure you that it is the same coin in both pictures but I added the extra staple during the photo shoot.

I also edited out some other markings on the holder so as not to sway your ratings.

This is on the Obverse lower right:

This is on the Reverse Upper left:

I noted the flats on the high spots on both sides and wondered if it was possible that they flattened out by being stored tightly next to other coins in a single row 2x2 box for several decades.

This coin was put in its holder before January 1987 and may have been sealed, or re-sealed, as early as 1975. It is possible that it was cleaned but was most likely purchased at a coin auction at a coin club meeting during the 1970-1980's and very well may have been put up for auction by a coin dealer. The club meetings always had discussions about the detrimental effects of cleaning coins but at least one of the dealers did employ the technique of "pocket shining" sliders so I was always suspicious of what was offered with respect to cleaning.
