1953 Large And Small Date Quarter - Coin Community Forum

Imohtep Valued Member Canada 321 Posts	Posted 10/03/2011 11:14 pm So I was having a look at the 7 1953 quarters I found in a roll while hunting. One of them appears to be a large date while the rest are all small dates. The 9 in the large date also has a die crack or something on the inside of the 9..you'll notice the extra bit of metal in there almost like doubling. Are you thinking that if you see this then for sure it's a large date? From what I remember, it's pretty easy to spot the difference in the two sizes. Report this Post to the Staff
