I saw an ad in the Detroit Free Press today where you can get one of the new Washington dollars just by sending in 3 posatge stamps. Anyone else see an ad like this?

Gotta love free enterprise... 3 stamps @ 39 cents = 1.17. Postage to send 39 cents. Most likely wants self addressed & stamped envelope for return, another 39 cents. Your coin that can be had at the bank for a buck now costs $1.95.

After the first few coins are released it will probably be a miracle to get the others at a bank. The banks DO NOT want them so it will be NO different than the Sacagawea dollars. If your bank won't call them out you will be looking at buying through the mint or finding another collector who has a bank in their area calling them out or, last but not least, praying a group of collectors will split the cost of a roll from the mint to hold costs down. So in the end that $1.95 just may be the cheapest deal in town!
