i just want to check if this coin is the rare one or not. I've posted this coin in other forum and got just 1 answer. and I'm not convinced. I bought this for 15 pesos (15.00 PHP = 0.340097 USD). I hope I can find answers here. thanks.

*i cant seem to upload the photos. so I just link an address where I previously posted my coin. thanks. I just hope they'll allow it here. I just really need some good answers.

to CCF. It looks like a 1903 to me and it's in the Red Book.Mintage of 12,084,000 in EF-40it's about $1 US in MS-63
it's about $2.25 US. They also made it in proof and it's $40 US in PF-65.

2010 Krause says:
Date Mintage -------F------VF------XF------Unc------BU
1903 10,790,000---0.50--1.25---2.50----20.00--40.00
1903 Proof 2,558 Value: 75.00

So I would concur (now you have 2 votes) that this is not a rare coin. Not a key date but still a nice coin to have from a history perspective.

There are 2 kinds of 1918 5 centavos. One is the ordinary coin and the second specimen is a rare error for 1918, where the obverse die was muled with the reverse die intended for the twenty centavos. The error is subtle, as the two dies are very similar, but careful study reveals the shield of the mule to be wider than the normal issue. This mule is the most valuable five centavos in the Philippine series.
I have noticed in the picture posted that the coin 1903-s Half centavo is entirely different from the 5 centavos your are mentioning.
Anyway, to the community
