Either PCGS really dropped the ball on this one or this coin toned up really bad since being slabbed.

I thought that all the hair lines have to be evident to get an MS grade.

I would be embarrassed to auction this coin. There is no question it's not a RD. I don't even think the coin is UNC, but the pic may be deceiving.

I've never seen a slabbed RD lose it's color to that extent. Even when they do lose color, there is usually some pattern based on the weakness in the slab and it's exposure to the outside world. This one just looks kinda ugly

If I didn't know any better I'd say the guy managed to break out an MS63RD and put a AU-50 brown back into an intact slab. Either way, his asking price is garbage for that piece.
