I want to purchase a book for Walking Liberty half dollar collection. Which one offers the best long term storage solution. And which one looks the best with coins placed in it? Thanks Guys.

Having used both, but I'm not in love with either. The Dansco seems nicer quality, but the brown and gold color scheme is ugly. Don't get me started on that horrible brush-script font.

The Intercept Shield looks nice at first, but seems to show signs of use much more quickly. The top layers of the pages are showing signs of stretching on the edge from removing and inserting the slides, and the corners are already starting to look dinged up. I like that it comes with the slipcase included though, and in theory the sacrificial material it's made out of should protect against corrosion (though correctly stored Dansco albums are also safe).

Both albums have poorly fitting holes.

I really really like the Intercept Shield albums. They are extremely well made and are manufactured of acid free materials... and silver looks awesome against the green colour! You'll find most people here like and use only the Dansco since the Dansco are much more readily available and have been around longer, but I'd bet most have never even seen an Intercept Shield album close up. I own two Intercept Shield albums, and three Dansco and in my opinion, the Intercept albums are the best choice by far.

Neither. I prefer 2x2 in the page protector binder form. I believe it protects the coin more and its easier to upgrade with new coins and be able to sell the other still protected. Plus I like to color code my album by the color sharpie I use to right the date. I've been doing this for years and its just cool to reflect when I got something. For example 2005 I used orange, 2006 blue 2007 red 2008 green 2009 black 2010 grey and 2011 dark green. I always know exaclty when I got something.

I use "Coin Collector" brand from Wizard's....they are very cheap and I do have the Walking Liberty album from them. It is nice and includes all mint marks. The quality is very nice for the price. The coins fit perfectly in the holes, no excessive pushing or loose coins. Check them out.

The only thing I can offer is that I have been using Dansco albums for almost 27 years with no complaints. I have never used an intercept shield album, but I believe they are comparable to Dansco and that the only significant difference is green versus brown.

I like Intercept Shield but they do not always have the variety that Dansco seems to have.
