Are you wondering about the missing E? Probably had grease on the die, which filled the cavity of the E when it was struck. This area also tends to be weakly struck on some coins, because it is directly opposite Lincoln's body.

I see. Is that pushed into the coin or is it raised up? If pushed in, it is probably damage of some sort, but hard to tell without a clearer picture. Also the coin seems to have a lot of plating issues (gas bubbles under surface, zinc rot by the A) so that doesn't help to see what is going on.
