The second image has a central design feature which is indicative of the Ottoman empire as well as other states which were under Ottoman influence. I really cannot tell you much more than this since my command of Arabic and Persian is very limited at this point. But, ultimately, this coin may turn out to be early modern rather than ancient. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 10/09/2011 7:18 pm Ottoman empire, unable to make out the domination but the date is visible on the first image the the coin is upside down though. The regnal year is on the other side, beneath the toughra. Click here, then compare the size of your coin with the 1, 5, 10, and 40 para dated 1255 (KM# between 665 and 670).
