Well, you slew me in the 1884-O thread, so I shouldn't comment here.

This is just about, but not quite the coin the other is. My opinion of grade is similar - 63, likely shot 64.

looks like another one of wolf's coins to me and would be lucky to get a PL grade, which I doubt very seriously

Weird image, is it yours? The blue cloth the coin is sitting on is clear enough, yet the coin itself looks distorted.

I just noted the typical ebay icon on the photos, and it makes me want to repeat Bryan's warning. There are some sellers for whom pictures like that are a huge deception.

Ok...

This is most definitely a DMPL. No question. If the photos don't show that on your screen my apologies. I will take some macro photos later and post them along with the grade.

The fields are very mirrored and the devices are cameo in real life. I guess my real question is whether or not a DMPL Cameo coin would push the envelope of grading to an MS 64 or 65.

Also, what value or how much of a premium do you place on a coin that is DMPL and cameo if any.

Sooooo lets see, you are saying this is not this coin? http://cgi.ebay.com/STUNNING-1879-S...TE_W0QQitemZ280061861705QQihZ018QQcategoryZ39465QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and you are also saying you bought it and got it delivered to you in one day? so I stand behind my statement when you receive the coin, I will bet you a dollar to a doughnut that it isn't even a PL. and if you are saying you are this wolf character (which you must be for it to end yesterday and you have the coin in hand as you state you do) then well......I don't have anything else to say to you about either coin because you know what you did to make the picture look like that and me being very fluent with photo editing programs I am sure I can mimic it within a few minutes with the right kind of lighting

You should research better before making accusations like that, Bryan. TypeMaster bought the coin you linked, but he's the buyer, not the seller. There are other coins he's posted here in that buyer's feedback.

TypeMaster, you're in trouble with that seller. That's all I can say about him without exceeding the bounds of what is allowable in this family forum. What's more, I found some items which are very disturbing to me amongst your sales, and that's all I'll say about that, too.

SuperDave I wasn't saying he was the seller I was saying that the only way he could have it in hand when it ended the day before is if he was the seller, and if he was the seller then I was done talking to him about them

I have seen the coin and will be able to see it again and photograph it if I would like. With that said, I am disturbed at how a simple question can go ary and conclusions be drawn on every side. It was never my intention to make enemies here and it seems that I have done just that. I sincerely apologize to you all if I have offended any.

Guys, I simply asked a question about premiums and DMPL Cameos. I said I have seen the coin in hand and can see it again and would be glad to post better photos of the coin. Forthwith I am investigated, "attacked" and judged guilty of something I really don't understand. I had to read and re-read the posts to let it all sink in. The more I read the more befuddled I have become. All of this is so someone can make a statement and prove his point. What point!? That I am a liar or pretending to be someone I am not? I guess that could be construed, but it is not true. I just enjoyed reading the forums, contributing what I could, and learning from all of you. That is all.

I made no pretense here. So let me not pretend again when I say this. I wish you all farewell. I will ask the moderators of this forum to remove me from membership as I, nor any of you, have time for such conversations. This one thread has completely colored my outlook on this forum and therefore rendered nonexistent any enthusiasm I had for posting here. But that is not important to me nor to you.

It seems the adage is true even here on this forum and is very apparent in this thread: "A guilty man runs when no one chases him, but an loathsome man will chase the guiltless to make himself innocent".

I bid you all fond adieu with my very sincerest and best wishes.

I never meant for my statement to be a accusation of being the seller on ebay and since the buyer was the same on both coins I really meant the opposite, I was actually just asking how you could have the coin in hand and take better pics if the auction had just closed one day earlier unless you were the seller. That comment kinda got misunderstood and I apologize for it but as I said I never meant it to be taken the way it was taken. Early in the morning and mid afternoon seems to be some of the worst times for me to even try an answer any questions because I can't seem to get the words to come out right because of the powerful medications they have me on. I haven't said what it was that I am on but the reason is because its used for two purposes and every time I say the pain medication name they think I am some kind of dope addict and I am far from it, I try not to even take as much as they prescribe. All that being said I will say the name, I am on Methadone and I am supposed to take 9 10 milligram pills a day and for all of you that know about meds you know this is what they give people who are heroin addicts to come off of it so its pretty powerful stuff. Now I hope each one I have made a comment to that they didn't quite understand will kind of understand why, so please accept my apologies once again as I have seemed to place my foot in my mouth once again

Let me just say this.

There are 2 sellers on ebay that I could hop in my car and have the coin in my hand in about 6 minutes. Before I bid.

No way, dude. No way are you going to blame the nice people on these boards for you leaving, and shame on you for making and selling artificially toned coins. That's what disturbed me so in the first place, but like the others in this community I felt a public forum was not the place to discuss such matters. Your recent post left me no choice.

Ok........ I see the moderators have not honored my request to be removed from membership of this board, therefore I can still log in an will answer your insiped remark.

I appreciate you being the "defender of the people". Perhaps that will get you some brownie points among the others here. If they are intelligent, I doubt it. You are so transparent.

I am not the seller nor the buyer of the coins in question. I am, however, related to one of them.

Why in the hades am I being persecuted as someone who has done something dishonest? Jump to all the conclusions you want. You will at best be inaccurate.

All I wanted was a discussion of Cameos and their premiums. I am truly repulsed of those that have to investigate everything. I have NEVER researched other's transactions on any auctions on this forum. I take their posts at face value without having to ream my way through their histories and jump to suspicious conclusions.

I have NEVER AF'd a coin at any time. First of all I don't have the interest in doing so. I am independently wealthy and don't have the time to twaddle in that stuff. Secondly, I have not any interest in AF coins. Others in my family do, but that is their concern.

You are the one who should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't know what it is about human nature that has to make enemies of people that have never violated any ethics whatsoever. My relations are their own people and must deal with their own actions. I just enjoy coins and love to discuss them.

So... this will most likely be my last post here, but if there is to be any lessons learned, it has to be that nothing is as it seems. Be very careful of your sincerity, lest you be sincerely wrong!!!
