Hey folks,
Just a quick question. Does anybody know anything about buttons? I was apple picking today and came across an old English button that reads "Best Quality London". I found it while walking on a gravel road. I looked for button collecting forums but nothing turned up. I found two other examples of the coin on Google Images. Here's the link I came across.

Thanks,

likes like the type of button used by the British Army, and a lot of other people, from the Napoleonic era (or earlier), to WW2.

The other side is completely worn out, and I forgot to mention I found it in southern Quebec. I myself was thinking it was maybe from the war of 1812. Thanks Peter!

Buttons are usually brass, rather than copper.

We'd have to see pics of your actual button to get a true idea of the condition, but with no markings visible on the front, it's probably not going to be worth much.
