Being a former teacher, I excel at being brutally honest with students/friends (hey... CCF is a family!) ... and appreciate the same from them.
Cons:
- Very scripted: Remember not to just read the script - communicate it (sometimes requires a
bit of overemphasis). When teaching students to perform, if they did not get each word perfect, it did not matter as long as what they did say conveyed the same meaning.
It is obvious a lot of work went into finding good phraseology to cue the ones being interviewed. But be careful - in a couple of instances the prompting question and delivery reminded me of the opening of the movie Night at The Museum II where they are doing a parody of TV infomercials ("And so John, what brought you to the conclusion ...).
Along this same train of thought, it was easy to tell when a cut/edit was made sometimes b/c the wording, attack (as in attack, decay, sustain, release) of the one speaking. A person starting from a new cut should be wary not to have abnormal peaks in volume b/c they hear the director say "action!"
- I saw one "camera oops" where the wrong camera was the primary when you were speaking (but only for a second before switching to the correct one).
OK - now the brutal stuff is over...

Pros - mechanics related:1. Excellent mood set by the opening music - starts the presentation off on a postured, professional perspective (intended alliteration!).
2. Excellent graphics work - blended greatly with the presentation's atmosphere.
3. Great, sharing of airtime by speakers to cover the book's aspects.
4. Enunciation good (imperative in a good presentation)
5. Great looking stage - loved the 2011
ASE Anniv set and silver pucks in the background.
6. It was a nice touch having available retail places being shown continuously.
Pros - content related: Great coverage of what a prospective buyer would want to know such as the book's purpose, work/research behind this book, material covered, practical application, etc.
The nature of this work as a good reference book is made very obvious.
I went into the video thinking, "Who cares - its modern stuff and I only like older coins." You accomplished your goal with the video b/c I came away thinking, "Wow, I need to rethink my collecting! Next time I am in
Wal-mart I need to look into a copy."
