LOL, my wife says the same thing about me, "Glenn your a total nerd!" When I took her to a coin show once, she cracked up laughing after. I asked her what was soo funny, she said, " all you guy's that collect coins are nerds".
She pointed out to me that everyone attending was male, middle aged, didn't know how to dress, wore pontdexter glasses, and had pot bellies.

rmc.

Indeed it's true, most wives think alike.
To get back at her one day I bought a handful of coins.
When I got home,I started looking them up in the latest Charlton edition and said that I was having trouble identifying the variety. Of course she grabbed the book out of my hands. I gave her the 1953 NSF near nickle to find for herself. After that nice surprise, my wife doesn't think of me being a nerd any more.
The best of hunting to you.

I opened a new roll of 1963 pennies the other day to look for hangers and my wife was right in there like a dirty shirt...I think it takes her back to her childhood when she was trying to find Waldo. Do they make pocket protectors in womens sizes :D

People need to listen more carefully. He said: And the geeks shall inherit the Earth.

(For the record: I am male, I just turned 50, have stylish glasses, and only a trace of a pot belly. So I'm COMPLETELY different from you nerds. LOL)

For the record:
THIS nerd can barely break 150 lbs.
Has fairly modern glasses.
And has never owned a pocket protector.

But is grey, balding and otherwise set in his befuddled ways.
Wears his clothes until his sister rips them off of his back and takes him out shopping. "YOU NEED NEW STUFF!"

How nice to be in my peer group.

I am a nerd, but I am deep undercover. My disguise of a redneck geologist is quite convincing, until I am at a coin show bourse...

Yep, SSP-Ottawa,
You have to stop drooling whenever you see a Cent with Liz's dad on it in your pocket change.
It's a dead give-a-way.
