...the little austrailian cat/racoon thing...

Australia has no (native) cats, nor raccoons. Feral cats we have in abundance, but they are considered environmental pests that would not be celebrated on coinage. Virtually all Australian native mammals are marsupials, so calling it a "possum-like thing" would not be inaccurate. It is in fact a feathertail glider, a small flying possum the size of a mouse. The Wikipedia article mentions their appearance on the now-obsolete 1 cent coin.

The angel coin...

I remember seeing those things advertised in Readers Digest or some similar place; I'd classify it as a mass-marketed "religious good luck token". From memory, I think the angel is supposed to be St Michael the Archangel.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it here, but the dimes came from roll hunting. 4 boxes that day...
Box 1= 2 rosies
Box 2= 2 rosies
Box 3= 18 mercs and 10 rosies
Box 4= 1 rosie

The items in the other picture came from the reject bin except for the chain baggie, that was stuck in the hopper.

Wow, I'm seeing a lot of posts about silver being found in dime boxes. I may have to reconsider roll searching dimes!

Oh, umm... I dont know the model... but it looked like this.
There is a spinning rubber disc in there and the chain baggie was caught between that and the metal ring just above it.

Whatever that little creature is... I wouldnt want to have one jump out at me in the dark. I'm sure they are adorable as all get out in real life, but that image on the coin doesn't flatter them. It almost looks like a chupacabra. lol

Do not fear this tiny nocturnal marsupial.
