Based on the bust, it's too pointy IMO to be a no L. Put me in for an L Pat.

I think I can make out the L on the OP post. So yep it's an "L" variety!

Oh, I thought Rick was a member in here, and assumed he would have read the thread already...
The majority of the opinions lean towards L, so I might make him an offer according to that. Will wait until I get more pictures to make sure though.

That's what I'd do ;-)
As far as Rick Snow being a CCF Family Member, I believe he is although I don't know his chosen forum name. I'll research that :)

hrmph, that seller didn't help out much...Kindly asked for better ones, hopefully he'll comply. this is what I got, and I think the shadow is playing tricks with the bust line...

I'm going to go against the crowd and say no-L. The bust is too close to the "1" and there is no sign of the L. The beading doesn't quite match either...

I believe when this coin was minted the date was not on the master die, but was punched into the working dies. Therefore, the location of the date on the coin would vary among the various working dies. So, I don't believe the location of the 1 in relation to the bust is diagnostic. Someone else can chime in and tell me if I am right or wrong.

Now that I see this picture, I am going to say no L. I don't see anything in that area on this picture.
