Is anyone still waiting on their sets? Mine says expected to ship 07/19/2013... It still has the option to cancel... any thoughts?

Update... if you missed ordering this set...you have another chance - the mint has opened ordering back up.

I hope they took so long to filling retailers orders that all the collectors canceled and bought from retailers. And I bet thats what happened too. Shove the little guy around and he will buy from someone else even if it costs him more.

Mine still says 9/17 ship date. I just checked and yes they are still taking orders with the same ship date: 9/17

Just posted in the other thread but to say it here too "This is why I cant stand the mint to demand order type. Nothing good comes from it at all, in an attempt to please a couple people they end up ticking off everyone. I already have my graded sets so I'm cancelling all my sets from the mint."

You know, mint to demand could work. Very well, even, and it's not complicated to make it work. The Mint clearly hasn't figured that out, though.
I'm just going to leave my order in. No sense canceling and doing it again.

For those getting impatient you can get the sets on ebay for 180 or a little less if you wait for an auction. Once people figure out the ordering is open again the bottom will probably fall out of the slight premium them have on there

So they obviously haven't sold anywhere near the 281,000 it says on the mint website, and the fact people are getting angry and canceling the rest of their orders might it actually be a good idea to pick an extra one up to sell later? Or are these things going to bottom out bad?

Any ideas on how long these will be available to order?

Quote: Or are these things going to bottom out bad? My guess is theyll bottom out bad for quite some time out of disgust. Theres no shortage of the raw ones on the secondary market and the reopened ordering time wont help that any. Doug said they posted how some of them are returned sets they deemed as good that collectors clearly disagreed with so that isn't going to win people over. There is a chance that once everything blows over and the smoke clears the final number could be lower than expected, but youd probably be looking at a significant time frame for people to stop being bitter at them. The other thing too is that people who bought more than one set in-case they gained values may start selling some of those and just be done with them. Even the raw SF sets which had a lower mintage are only selling in the 150-170 range and havent picked up any value

Just called the mint after sending them an upset customer email Should have called first. The 2013 west Point set is NOT still available for order. That is an error on the web site
