Think I should just get another 2014 ASE and free this one from its airtite prison let it breath and wear gracefully

I'm not sure a 2014 ASE embodies the spirit of a pocket piece. Grab old silver, something that makes for an interesting conversation piece and there you go

I carry a "1 free pack of cigaretts" token. My dad had a few, & I get to screw w/ 7-11 employs.

I have carried around a generic silver round in an airtite but since I don't like pocket change in the first place I kind of gave up on it... a whole extra ounce of silver just meant my pants fell down easier I always fear that if I had an Indian head nickel or silver of any kind rolling around in my pocket I would mess up and spend it My brother does carry a Morgan, a Washington quarter and a Roosevelt dime in a 2x2 plastic flip (the flip has already had to be replaced once) as a conversation starter and history lesson about intrinsic value vs. FRN economic collapse. He's the silver/copper/nickel hoarder... I'm the collector... The difference is my jaw drops when I get a 1939-S Nickel from a roll and do a happy dance... he says "who cares it's not silver"

I have been asking at my LCS about a Lion on a silver round for more than a year... FINALLY got this one a few weeks ago. It might be my new pocket piece but it will stay in the airtite! After I saw 'The Lion King' I thought it was sort of a cop-out to call him 'Simba' because that is just how you say lion in Swahili (or something like that), then I found out that Aslan was how you say Lion in Turkish So I figured give Disney a break, they just stole the idea from the master Quote:I'm not sure a 2014 ASE embodies the spirit of a pocket piece. Being in the US that would not make much sense but works great for someone in South Africa

I don't because I am trying to get some dirt/wear on my pocket pieces but if I was using them more as a conversation piece I could see keeping something in an airtite.

No. I let my 1973 silver Eisenhower and my 1963 Franklin half roll around free and happy!

I was carrying a low-ball Stone Mountain Memorial Half Dollar in a flip, but now I am carrying a low-ball Stand Liberty Quarter loose.

Funny thing silver surfer....I vary my pocket coins, and right now I'm carrying old Dutch, including a leeuwendaalder. I found through sad experience that I lose small coins out of my pocket.

I sometimes like to carry a loose AU Details Mercury dime as my pocket piece. I have already lost it once, so I am thinking of getting an Ike dollar to carry.

Eisenhower dollars (whether silver or clad) make for a great pocket piece. Fun to handle, large and unique enough to be a conversation starter, but not particularly rare or valuable if you should lose it. And you can get a little silver if you so choose.
