Silver Tracker: I bought my first batch of pre 1946 florins and 1966 50 cent coins in Australia. (my wife is from there and we have traveled there many times) Here in the US: I found about 15 1966 50 cent Australian coins at a coins show in Denver (below melt, dealer was retiring) I also found about 10 pre 1946 florins for melt at a LCS in Denver which specializes in world coins. I have also seen large lots of pre 1946 florins sell on ebay for like 2% over melt. Good luck, I hope you find some. Edited by Misterpostman

I can't come up with 5 but my favorite would definately have to be the French 5 francs. They are the same specifications as a Morgan dollar (90%/ .7234 oz) but can be usually found for a lot cheaper. Here's a stack of a few of mine.  |

- Lunars - people being born. Sooner or later they will chase one as a birthday gift.
- Pandas - China, I am stacking any chinese coins I can get my hands on
- Koalas, Kookaburras, Kangaroos - I like animals. May be someone likes them too

I dont like stacking because I want my money to be liquid, dont want to have to hide something and I want to have a competitive edge in the market place.
However, if I was going to stack, the whole purpose would be to get the most money or return out of what I put in. Therefore, I would go with whats commanding a premium in the bullion market. This would be my top 5 to stack right now, this year.
Again, I loath any sort of stock piling. I can see buying a few here and there but thats it. Anyways, here goes my list-
2015 Benin Elephant Silver 1 oz coin
2015 Benin Zebra Silver 1 oz coin
2015 Chad Hippopotamus silver 1 oz coin
2015 Rwanda African Buffalo silver 1 oz coin
2015 China Panda silver 1 oz coin

I like 90% Kennedys at low premium. They have the least amount of wear.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...

I don't know if this would be considered stacking but this month I bought one each 1 ounce Panda, Kookaburra, ASE and Maple Leaf plus two Libertads one 38mm (1988) and one 40mm (40mm). I bought one 2 ounce Kookaburra (2006). Next month I plan on buying four more Maple Leaves for a type set of the four different head designs of QEII and another 38mm Libertad to go with the 40mm I already have for a set of the two diameters of that coin. |

ANY World silver (U.S. included), that I can get for below melt value, sometimes considerably below melt value.
I usually obtain these by way of being part of a lot that has the coins that I am really interested in, and the silver just comes as a collateral bonus.
The only problem is that your silver stash grows on average very slowly, and in fits and starts.

Fun thread!my five favorite to stack/collect are 1. Canada silver maple leaf (lunar privy mark) 2. China panda 3. Rwanda wildlife series 4. Australia Perth Mint 2oz lunar series 5. Some other world coin that catches my eye especially if it has an animal (this year I'm going for the 2015 Chad Hippo!) |

When I was just out of college and got my first job, I was very must into stacking. Now less so, as I feel the liquidity issues outweigh the use of stacking. I used to have hundreds of ounces of Silver Eagles in US Mint tubes, but I recently sold half of them. I think I might switch to Franklin halves or 1964 Kennedy halves as these are better suited to stacking IMO than high quality bullion coins. That said, my list is: 1. Franklin halves2. 1964 Kennedy halves3. 20 Francs Gold coins (1890 - 1935) 4. Gold Krugerrands 5. Silver Eagles The premium on any of these coins is typically low, except the ASEs. The advantage of 20 Franc gold coins is that they are fractional gold coins (.1867 troy ounce of gold) with a low (5%) premium over spot. |

Looking to buy a 5 kg silver bar within a month or so.
I will look at the spot silver charts and try to pick a low point, before deciding to buy.
Bought 6 Pt One Ounce Maple Leafs in a single buy some time ago, to hold long term and give to my kids. These are doing a lot better than cash in the bank. I took a position on Pt, because it has been priced at a lot lower than gold for far too long.
My daughter and son in law bought put about $25K into stock market index funds, just after the CV-19 crash. That investment is doing much better than PM's. They don't know how to pick individual companies so they just went for stock market index averages in a 'basket' of 200 companies. Currently have a 'paper' profit of about another $25K, after about a year.
My daughter and I are just looking to put a tiny gamble into digital currency position, just for fun. We have budgeted to loose all of our investment; if it gains, that's a bonus. We figure that is much safer than poker machines or roulette, where in the long run, you are guaranteed to loose.
She figures that PM investing is really just a form of gambling anyway. I partially agree with that.
