Yamika boy: As a member of RBC (royal bank of canada) I can actually order a stack (100) or a brick (10 stacks) ... the single stack I usually get at face but there is a premium to order a brick.

Perhaps if you call ahead to an RBC you could get them to order you one.. (usually takes about a week)... or if you just want a few crisp ones you could probably set up a notice on the b/s/t board .. I'm sure someone would be willing to help ya out!

@canacoins - I may eventually get my bills graded when Ive accumalated a large enough amount to get a discounted rate. My next target is the 25$ 1935 bill. I'm thinking the one Ive picture is around a VF-25

Here is a $20 note with an Insignia on the Canoe. It just happens to be at the right spot to make the Canoe look special.

This is a result of a hickey during the printing process

My latest, and probably last, Canadian note: A 1954 $20 pfx T/E, the most common note of that series.

I will be in Vancouver & Victoria this summer. I suppose this is a silly question, but does anyone recommend any bank(s) which are friendlier to folks asking for new crisp 20s and 50s?

YB

If you had come to Vancouver around Chinese New Year, you could have easily find new bills since the banks have them for their Chinese customers. Some Chinese people prefer new bills for their red packets as gifts.

MoneyPenney, thanks, that is good information. So, I should go to BC during Chinese New Year and go to a casino? (just kidding).

I would like to bring back a new crisp 100, 50, and 20 when I visit there. I was in Richmond and stayed at a casino resort in 2011 but at that time I was into stamps, not currency.
