It slides into EF. It's a decent coin and EF is the red line for many NFLD collectors.

The coin shown is better than EF. IMO Solid AU 50.

Well, kinda looks AU but has some minor issues.
Looks like a ding below the D in NEWFOUNDLAND.
Scratches(?) above and left of the 2 in 20.
Possible ding on bottom of N in CENTS?
Like I say, minor issues, based on these pictures.

just to update, I won the coin, and it is on it's way to ICCS, for their opinion. I will post further updates, when I get the coin back,

Regardless of grade, you scored a nice piece.

Looking again, I think EF-45 is possible, but I just couldn't see AU

After looking again, I'm thinking AU-50.
The consensus here is EF-40 - AU-50, so I guess the right answer is in the middle where EF-45 lies.

yes, the seller said ICCS is too tough on Newfoundland coins, that is why he didn't send them in..

As a buyer, I love ICCS for grading tough.

I agree with Tripoli, I've always found that other TPGs are far too lenient on Newfoundland coins. Whereas ICCS, when they aren't straight grading cleaned coins, can at least grade somewhat accurately.
