@Dearborn,
The ropes coming down from the mast to the top of the sail. In that space, there's the ropes for the sail. There's other lines in that triangle that look off. Whatever they are. I'm pretty sure they aren't supposed to be there.
@Nevol,
I believe you are looking at my other five cent post that I made.

The image of the nickel you posted up above has no ropes or even a sail, heck it ain't even a 2004 - the coin you posted is a regular 2019 nickel with the Monticello building on it. So it is no wonder I cannot see what you are looking at.....

Ok, there must be something weird going on. From what I can see on the post. It's the coin as described in the subject. Please delete this post as it is confusing people.

The Feeder Finger Damage is between the ropes of the sails. It's very minor, but OP is correct that it is there.

2004? Rope? Sail? Feeder Finger Damage? I think something has changed with the images, as I don't see any of these. Were the file names overwritten?
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Thank you for re-uploading the original pictures. Like I said, there are micro abrasions between the ropes and the sail caused by Feeder Finger Damage. They're almost imperceptibly minor, however, and are not worth any numismatic premium.

Ah, ok, thanks for getting up the correct images. I'll agree with the Feeder Finger Damage. Funny how they fall in with the sail and ropes.

In 1978 the Mint start to change the presses from Vertical presses with Feeder Fingers to Horizontal presses which do not have Feeder Fingers. This start with Phil in 1978 and finish complete also in Denver in late fall 1979.
So is clear that from 2000 till now is impossible to has Feeder Fingers on coins. The presses are not equip with. Only San Francisco and West Point still has presses' with Feeder Fingers but till now never see one coin with this error. the reason it is because at those locations the Feeder Fingers are between 2 and 3 mm thick.
