Sorry no pics but just about anything is better than the designs found on modern coinage. BORING!

Yea Yotie... I am going to say ... Boo to the Peace.

Reverse is cool, but I like the eagle reverse... The Washington quarter eagle sucks though.

Despite spending 95% of my time with Buffalo nickels, my favorite design is the Standing Liberty quarter, even if the reverse IS rather plain. My least favorite design is the Ick Dollar.... errr... Ike dollar.

I will have to say it is a tie between the Mercury dime and liberty walking halve. The Standing Liberty quarter is a close third. I'm surprised the Standing quarter hasn't received more love. I think it's a great design.

with Hawke1969!

It's just VERY tough to find nice examples of the coin since it wore so quickly and so badly (My opinion...obviously!)

Yea I think that is what kills the Standing Liberty quarters... they are so worn for the most part that people don't get to see the real design.

I also think that killed the Barber coins as well. I can't stand them bc I always saw worn examples. In AU/MS that are really nice coins.
Rest in Peace

Im hoping that this thread was not just for circulating coinage , since I really think that the commems will win for design hands down .

I like this one and by the way it is a rendition of a past circulating coin .

Not to be a Moderator or anything, but part of the point of this post (don't take this wrong...) was to include a picture of your choice so we all could compare and contrast your opinions with others. (Not all posters have the coins you may be choosing).

I also realize not all people have a camera that can take pictures (or even own the coins they choose themselves) but pictures are available on the net.

I think it would add immensely to this post if we all included pictures of our choices. (Again, not to get all Moderator...) I think it would help.

Here are some pics of the latest choices.

Enjoy!
