Quote: It will be interesting to see what the Annual Sets are going to look like! It will. I have a paused subscription on the silver proof set, because it got so expensive. Maybe I should think about "unpausing" it for next year.

Quote: While I'm not interested in a gold "re-issue" of a silver coin, the medal and its modern interpretation of the original's design elements holds some potential interest for me. Same.

I'd be a buyer for a Silver Reverse Proof Set ( as was issued in 2018 for the 50th Annniversary of the San Francisco Mint )

Here's the images from Mint's website of the 1916 Mercury dime Gold Coin and the One Ounce Silver Companion Medal. I really like the silver medal and will be definitely be a player depending on the price.

For whatever reason, the reverse of the medal makes me think of the 1940 Half Crown from New Zealand that I have in my collection:

I enjoy the look of that silver medal. It might become the first modern mint issue I ever purchase. Quote: the reverse of the medal makes me think of the 1940 Half Crown from New Zealand I can see the design motif similarity between them.

I'm kind of disappointed they have done 4 of these coins in recent years. I like the idea just not happy with the execution. Going to be really unhappy when I see the price for these.
