Thanks for the correction guys.....Proof Coin will have a mintage limit of up to 300,000 coins. I'm really thinking of trying to get one of these. For some reason, I think it will be a good investment. It will also look nice next to my Commemertive Silver Buffalo Dollar? Do you think they will sell out fast or do you think due to price it will be on sale for a while?

I'm hoping it'll be on sale for a while. Not enough $$ right now but maybe down the road.

1000 dollar wouldn't be enought for 1 oz platinum bar it at 1187.00, but that would be a good investment if platinium drop back donn there. if not you could always get a 1/2 oz of platinum and a 1/2 oz of gold that would be a great investment as well. But if I were going to invest 1000 I would have to buy a 1916-D Mercury dime in vg-F depend on what I could find for 1000 dollars I know F would be hard to get at that price but VG I would be able to get for a little less then 1000.

I am really thinking of getting the 06-W Buffalo. I think it would be very good for investment purposes. Originally they were saying $875, but with the drop of bullion prices, they dropped it to $800 (or atleast I am assuming that is the reason) But to spend $1,000... this coin for $800, and maybe a $200 14-D Lincoln

Or maybe because I love Buffalo coins in general I might get a couple 2001 buffalo dollars and maybe one buffalo 2006 gold coin even though the price is high

I'd love to have a 1000 dollar bill, a 500 dollar bill, or as nice a type set as I could start with a $1000

I would buy google stock :) I guess if there's any coins that I feel are undervalued it would be the semi-key Barber halves and/or quarters.

so about half a roll for you huh? Just kidding but I dont think 1000.00 would buy even one BU roll but it may buy you 2 rolls of circulated Morgans

Well that would depend on the condition of the morgans. If you've got rolls of worn down morgans worth only spot, then you've got 4-5 rolls. Now if we're talking BU, half a roll seems right!

um....BU rolls of morgans aren't that expensive. You could get 2 or slightly more for $1k.

True...depends on what dates your looking at. for the 1881-s, a 2-3 rolls would be possible. Now if we're talking CC's...
