Arrghhhh!! I can't believe ebay didn't pull this before he sold it!! Now we have to hope my friend's emails have given him religion. (Did anybody notice that he relisted it as a 1 day listing? Talk about trying to fly under the radar and quickly!)

Scubu! Where are you? I sent ebay the information just like you laid it out to us last night. What happened?

Well - I'll probably get tossed off of ebay for a while, but here's the message I just sent him through the link to "ask seller a question" they provide on the listing:

Mr Towery - I sincerely hope that you are not going to go through with this transaction. You did not describe it as a chemically restored nickel whereas you know full well that I sold it to you as a chemically restored nickel. Selling it as you did was totally dishonest and runs counter to ebay's stated policies. -BuffaloReincarnations

This has gotten too funny....He thinks he sold it to me! I had sent him a second message on the 'bay, I asked him why I couldn't find his auction...within 30 mins. he messages me back - "yourre very welcome!! hope you enjoy your piece of history!

- austin_towery,

Then an hour later he sends me ANOTHER message, wondering why I didn't win it!

I didn't even BID on it!! This character is a real piece of work...Thanks for the ex'pose, Weerdsteev, it was entertaining on this end...billy

Funny how he has answered everybody's emails EXCEPT MINE! I am trying my best to find out who the buyer is in order to warn them (a clear violation of ebay policy, but who cares?) but so far, no luck...

Yay! ebay sent me notification that they pulled the listing. Like last time, however, it was AFTER the auction ended. Hopefully, the buyer sees the notification and takes steps to void or nullify the transaction.

By the way, just call me "Larry" from now on. ebay does! Here's what they sent me:

Dear Larry,

Thanks for reporting this listing to us.

I investigated this listing and confirmed that it violated our Selling Currency policy. As a result, I removed the listing.

Again, thank you for your report. We appreciate your help in keeping ebay a safe and reputable forum to conduct business.

Sincerely,

Heidi

"Currency". Doesn't that usually refer to paper money?

I wonder what time zone Heidi resides in...? The Yesterday time zone, perhaps?
