1849 Large Cent N-10 - Coin Community Forum

Drsandman2 Pillar of the Community United States 1374 Posts	Posted 12/08/2011 9:24 pm I bought an 1849 thinking it might be an N-25, which is in the CP guide, but turned out to be an N-10. Still a cool coin! The date placements are almost exactly the same. However, during my research I found that N-25 is marked as delisted by PCGS? Anyone know the story with that? If anyone is interested in the N-10, it is in good condition and I can provide photos. Report this Post to the Staff

You have no idea I was convinced so long I had a 25, but the only thing missing was the rough areas on the end of America. Many of the reverse die characteristics were the same, noteably the lumpy areas above the C and T in CENT. I even did an overlay in photoshop and the dates match. Really had me going, wow. Okay, so what I have is the N-10 and N-25. Nanny, nanny, boo boo. Report this Post to the Staff
