Here are some lower mintage Barber dimes. I'm a little torn between grades. The 1913-S obverse seems to have the wear of a VG coin... but every letter of LIBERTY is visible, though weak. As for the 1904-S, I'm just wondering if it can grade above Fine. Thoughts?
I don't know much about Barber dimes, however I think on a true VF (if there's no strike issues) the lower leaves have to be fully outlined...right? They look like great coins with a perfect circulated look. Good going!
F12 on the 13S and an easy VF20+ on the 04S. Barber dimes are a sleeper series (and still affordable) and you got two nice examples of tough years that have honest wear and full rims. Nice pick-up
Yes, I agree-- Barber dimes are an affordable sleeper series! They're going to be challenging to collect, especially in higher grades. It feels like 90% of these dimes are very heavily worn and flat. I gotta get me some more
