Folks, I could sure use some help in determining the grade on this one. I look at it one time, and I think it's one grade. Then I look at it another time, and I think it might be another grade. Any help will be appreciated, and , if you respond, please indicate what it is about the coin that helped you to reach your decision. Thanks.

Strong part on the obverse is the amount of mail but the shield outline is weak. The date is also readable but not sharp. On the reverse, there's just not enough feathers. I'd have to say VG10. I'm tempted to say F12 cause of the mail but the reverse makes me keep my opinion on a VG10.

Let me first say that based on the pictures I like the overall eye appeal of the coin. Second, I'm no expert on grading these things as there's tons of strike issues such as the shield, head, knee, etc. My first thought was VF, but technically I guess it could fall into the Fine category. I'd be interested in seeing what others have to say.

Close to VF 20....not sure it would quite make it though, more than likely a strong F12.
