I got a notice from ebay too... Rare - 2012 RMS Titanic - Silver Plated Canadian Coin We're sorry to tell you that the item isn't available for purchase anymore. We removed the listing because it likely fell into one of these three categories: -- The listing doesn't follow ebay guidelines. -- The item isn't allowed on ebay or can only be listed under certain conditions. -- The listing contains pictures or words that may have violated copyright or trademark rights. This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it's an action we have to take to protect you as a buyer. GOOD now this guy is stuck with all these fakes, Hope he does not try to sell them here on CCF! It was bad enough that we was selling these making people think they were real 50 cents Titanic, plus his S&H COST was $10-$20...RIP-OFF on fake coin & High ship cost too!

Got roughly the same reply from ebay. Unfortunate for the few that bought from the crook already, but we got him!

Looks like ebay has taken out his "Canadian coin" Tuvalu "coin" listings too. Good job all. The community really showed its power with this situation.

Or, all three. :)

This is a victory, but a small one.
Lurking in the dark are the true fakes, the ones YOU can't tell the difference. Missing "50 cents", "Fiji" were dead giveaways.
Faking NCLT is a surprising phenomenon. Much more difficult than replicating older silver circulation coins I would think.........

From the item description: Quote: Coin has no face value but is otherwise identical to the Canadian 50 cents piece. This implies that it is not the real coin. Still pretty slimey though.

Even if it was allowed by ebay, which it is not for replicas of Canadian coins, the OBJECT must clearly be marked that it is a copy or replica, not just the listing. These guys should get a nice rap on the door from the RCMP.

It is kind of scary that they can make an identical replica of this type of coloured plated steel coin. You would think this design is hard to replicate.

The sad thing is there is nothing that can really be legally done about this. They are not counterfeiting our currency, and the copyright laws apply to their own country, so the RCM is out of luck. The only thing that can really be done is exposing them on ebay and shutting them down. Now these stupid things are going to be circulating amongst collectors in our country and being resold on ebay, Arrghgh! Fake crap forever!
