Only ten rolls? That's great! It took me close to 120 rolls to find the 2 Silver Nickels from this past week. That's good odds right there! Great find joe!

solotime, thanks for the offer! I was below 250 posts though when I was posting about it before :-( I think after shipping though it have been the same if I slapped a 25 cent stamp on a 10 cents envelope i'd actually get 90 cents for it! Darn shipping! 1.28 is the melt price for it today I noticed.

Yes, I started nickel collecting a year or so ago. The first roll I checked had a War Nickel! That made me want to search and fill collector books. I was just going to get $100 or so in nickels just for the lure of the possiblity that one day they may be worth something! They are the only 'real' money made today that are worth their value at least! I find 1 or 2 on average in every box plus all kinds of other old US nickels, Canadian coins including one from the 1920s, and many other foreign coins. I found a weird coin with oil wells on it and arabic writing (I think) Nickels, for the most part, are the least searched out coin. Never debased yet so I guess the reason. They may debase soon so worth keeping them all while no separating (well except for silver and buffalos!)

Earlier this week, I went through 4 rolls here at the bank that were ALL 40's (unfortunately no War Nickels in those four), but I thought that was impressive to find that many rolls of just the 40's.

Yeah I got lucky with my find. Wow no War Nickels in a 40's roll. That stinks.
