I recently started consolidating my collection, getting rid of just about everything so I can just concentrate on Morgans.
I started going through them all so I can try and figure out which VAM they may be. I have an 1884-CC NGC MS-64 and decided to look at it. It is clearly a VAM 2 with the 18 doubled and a large die crack below the date on the obverse and also the left C is partially doubled on the reverse. My question is, does it matter that it is not certified by NGC as a VAM, would it make it a more desirable coin. If so, should it be sent back for the VAM designation. Still new to this, thanks

For this one, it really isn't a big thing not to have the designation on the slab. VAM-2 is not rare or in high demand, and it's a pretty obvious attribution with those big spikes off the 1 so you could easily call attention to those details if it came time to sell.

For the record, NGC doesn't enjoy a stellar reputation among VAMmers for their attributions - frankly, they're not very good at it.
