Awhile back I posted a 1889 Seated dime that I bought for my type set. I think I'll replace it with this one.

AU 50....any luster? Looks like it has probably been dipped.

It has a slight yellowish patina.

I'll go along with an AU-50 grade. There are a few hairlines and small dings but nothing too serious. Light wear is visible on the high points. The reverse might grade a bit higher. Congratulations on your replacement!
Is it in a PCGS holder? (looks like it!). If so, what grade did they assign?

Yes, PCGS certified it AU58. Although the 1889 is a MS62 with a nice tone, I like this one better.
