Yeoldecoins Valued Member 384 Posts	Posted 11/15/2013 8:04 pm I wouldnt try and clean it any more....if you have signs of BD, treat it with something to stop the BD taking hold (only if you are familiar with the chemicals used, such as sodium sesquicarbonate or benzotriazole), which are nasty. Heat can halt the process, but either way ensure the coin is bone dry before storing/displaying. It doesn't look too severe to me. Report this Post to the Staff

Both coins could possibly be Vandalic, but there is no way to fully attribute these kinds of crude imitatives to the Vandals or another tribe. Nowadays its become a trend for tiny late Roman imitatives to be labeled as Vandal (or some other tribe). If you want Vandal, stick to types unique to them. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't particularly want a Vandal, but thought I had better check it out with you guys after I noticed possible similarities. I am quite happy to keep it as a barbarian imitative.
