I picked this Morgan up today and was looking at VAMs. Is this a VAM-6 High 6?

Can somebody also explain the double ear VAM-1A I was looking at the VAM World site and just can't tell the difference.

The photos are clear to be 100% sure but I would say with about 95% certainty that its a VAM-8.

The VAM-6 is a near date, meaning that from the neck point to the "1" its no more then 2 denticles. Your coin is a full 3 denticles with the high 6 and that would be a VAM-8

I have to agree with Russ. The only two possibilities are VAM8 and 9 with your date position. VAM9 has doubling most notably at the base of the 1 which does not appear on yours.
