I picked this one up also. I had a hard time getting pictures, it has a nice dark gray tone and the remaining luster that comes through underneath makes it even harder to get a picture. It is graded XF40 by PCGS but is not attributed on the holder.
I am going guess you have a VAM 9 or 9A but it is too hard for me to tell with the color on the coin. I will say that the feathers sure look right for the VAM 9 though.
It's a Comma Feather, all right. I don't see the reverse neck clash under IN, which is usually the easiest feature to see on a worn (A, so I'm guessing it's the unclashed version.
