I have a 1900 Canadian large cent which has the letters "J T M" and the number "11" just below it stamped on the front of the coin. Do these letters have any significance or is it just a damaged coin? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a counterstamp to me. Although some people see this as "damage". Many people collect counterstamped coins.
