Glad to see they went to a good home! I am using the proceeds to finish my reduced size Capped Bust quarter set, only two more to go!

What a remarkable set. Very impressive! You must need a welder's mask to look at some of those blazers lol.

Quote: Funny, but the keys are easy. They are falling out of trees. EVERYBODY has a 32-d or 32s for sale. All it takes is money. Yawn. The semi keys were the most fun. Like the 36-D and the 40-D. Anyhoo, great fun. Investment value is minimal. Will probably never get out of them what I put into them. That will fall to my kids I am sure. It's so true, the keys are everywhere. You can locate an attractive key almost immediately. This isn't the case with many of the other earlier dates. You have to search through allot of dogs before you locate a nice for the grade coin. I've found that these nice for the grade coins (the majority of your collection) usually sell a little above trends. I'm not only talking about the rainbow toners which go for way more. Raw coins are just a little harder to sell. You need better photos, a stand-up reputation, and accurate grading ability. With this buy prices can be very close. Of course, when it comes time to sell... whether your using a consignment or auction site etc... you're basically out 20% at time of sale + any TPG fees your into it for...making your "investment value" comment cautiously realistic lol. We can't look at these as an investment to begin with but I can't see how you wouldn't basically break even minus your time based on the slow steady growth of this series. That's coming from an ACTIVE buyer who's sold as well.

That set is super! Once I obtain my 09 s and 09 svdb, I think that set might be my next one.
REALLY awesome set, Jon. Congrats! You were obviously discerning in what you wanted, and patient, and it really shows.

Very nice. I can tell it took a lot of time, money and effort to accomplish. Makes you wonder who can afford those top ranked sets?
I did the Dansco album a few years back. If I remember correctly the Dansco album went all the way to 1998 (state series started 1999), and included proof issues. It was a lot of fun to assemble.

Congratulations! I'm only four years into my own quest. Your Sub MS key dates are great looking coins. same stage I'm at now. Beautiful.

Ya, those '32s could be twin sisters. Thanks everyone for the kind words. USC96, that is some of what I was ranting about. Those top sets. I deleted it after the tequila wore off. Ow my head . . . .

Wow Jon K I need to pull out my set and compare it to yours. Nice 32-D and 32-S. Of the two I like the contrast in the fields on the 32-D.
