Thanks for the pictures and comments, I'm still on the fence, I'll check the post office with hopes of seeing it in person.
Kindest regards to all.

Mine came today - not discussed yet, is the obverse - it is very stunning on such a large surface.

I really like the size and weight of this coin. The design is intriguing too and definitely lots to discover.

Happy to add it to my other 2oz coin (Pamp Suisse Toronto map).

I got a 2nd Tim Barnard 2 ounce coin from Canada Post - the first one came from the Mint, and it was #4779 of 5,000. The second one, I ordered online from CP - two weeks later, and it came in with #296 of 5,000

I have never received a coin from any source under 100 of the production run. Funny that the Canada Post appears to have earlier productions though.

CC_Ottawa, I too have the 2 ounce Pamp Suisse Toronto 'Google map coin' - Love that one for the very high def image of Toronto.

Well I see this coin is already getting attention. I too was just stunned by it and I had to have it. Unfortunately the mint was out so I went to Gainesville and ordered one. I got notice today that it is on the way! I can't wait. I'll have to show it off. Somewhere it won't get pawed or drop or fingerprinted etc. I saw the prices you all were noticing at around $200+ bucks. I paid more that that. I'm okay with it as I had to have it and I had a fat tax return check in my play fund. Images to come. No date yet but it's soon.

Amazing that the 55mm coin is dwarfed in their oversize holder, designed for up to 120mm.

The global shipping just kills all US deals, adds about a 1/3 or more cost, simple ripoff.

Any idea how the coin is being held in place inside the oversize holder? By friction only?
