I've just finished the survey, it took me more than an hour.

This is the question all the people was waiting for (I said "more" )

For those that were deemed not eligible, I am guessing that this happened after the first question or so?

That was the longest survey I have ever taken.

The funniest request I saw:

Quote:
Do you have any reasons for collecting coins that were not mentioned in the preceding series of questions?

Please enter no more than 15 words.

Please be as specific as possible.

The RCM did a similar but shorter survey about a year ago, and we see the results last year and so far this 2014 with more and more coins issued. The only way the RCM is going to change is when the dealers get overstocked and we stop buying everything they produce. This survey although much longer basically asked the same questions and my guess most members gave the same answers as the last survey and the results speak for themselves.

Perhaps the series of similar questions is used to see if someone is not answering consistently. Did it still say you'd be entered in the draw?

My ineligibility showed up shortly after I reported how much I spent in the past 12 months. My guess is that they were targeting people who spend a lot.

I also do not buy from other Mints, so many they wanted buyers who are at risk no longer buying from RCM.

Those are my two guesses, but who knows. Maybe someone else who wasn't eligible could compare.

The survey is for Master Club Members so they're not interested in people that spend less than $1000 in the last 12 months.

I was offered a $2000 shopping spree... Different amounts for different people?

If they started producing fewer coins each year I have a feeling they will be only novelty coins.

Does that mean you have already won the lucky draw?

I don't believe the draw had taken place yet as they are excepting surveys until March 31.

I was kicked out right after selecting the $10k+ option for yearly spend.

I wouldn't get the survey if I wasn't an MC member. Although I do agree my spending range is probably probably lower than other MC members (first year MC member).
Rest in Peace

I put in less than $10k, I think I put in 5-6k, but was invited to complete the survey. They estimated 35-45 min, but I would agree that I was at it the better part of an hour!.

I spend less than $200 from the Mint's website directly per year, and I got the survey. I got the impression from the survey that they were asking questions about what scenarios of incentives would get me to purchase all of my orders from the Mint as opposed to dealers and Canada Post. There were scenarios about different levels of free shipping and reward programs. Basically, they wanted to know what it would take for me spend all of my Canadian NCLT budget with them.

@kuh_85 The mint decided your in toooo deep at 10 grand on new releases alone. You probably buy most of their new release and so they wouldn't need change anything for you. lol

I think most of us spend a large amount of money on coins. But I know the majority of my purchases are for older coins. So I was surprised to be invited.
