Now, If ebay would close the offending Seller's account and prevent them from opening any new accounts.

This is getting to be out of hand. I bet there is more fake stuff on ebay then real stuff now. WOW what a shame. Someone needs to officially be partnered with ebay just in the numismatic crime dept.

The Eagle (in the last post) appears to have been sold by a B&M pawn shop.

Most likely it was originally bought off the street, the shop owner then realized it was fake and then decided to move it online to try and get rid of it.

They just move their mistakes along and hope the eventual end user is some uninformed Smuck at the end of the road.

Rest in Peace

First off, tip my hat to you guys, great job of spotting them and reporting them.

I gotta say, that makes me very sick. I mean unless you dont know what to look at or stop and look, you could get burned very badly.

Not to get off topic,,, but this same sort of thing is running wild in the vintage star wars collecting world, even graded fakes now flooding the market.

Reported the live one, hopefully this gets removed, too many fake NGC AGE lately. People just buy and get burn for not checking it diligently. The 1904 fake gold Liberty don't even look like a MS coin, detail is blown out. Bar Code doesn't register with NGC when I scan it, when I look at the authentic NGC graded coin, its night and day.

This area of NY seems to be the hotbed

Locust Valley: http://www.ebay.com/sch/bayville-sa...046732.m1684

Elmont: http://www.ebay.com/sch/pcai5130/m....046732.m1684

Elmont: http://www.ebay.com/sch/coljam.4wy9...046732.m1684

Take note of the fake NGC certification numbers. So far the PF69 Buffs have the same first 7 numbers. All the PF70 Buffs have the same. And all the AGE have the same. There is a variance of the last 3 numbers but at least two or three sold have had the same.

There is a Chinese site that is selling these for $110-120 dollars. It's listed as 90% tungsten. Not going to post that link here, obviously.
