This was my first ,'...Days of...' thread and I really enjoyed the challenge of going through all of my coins to find what I had accumulated over the years.
From a personal perspective I did learn from this thread, however, that my efficiency in taking admissible photos 'quickly' severely missed the mark; now I have another hurdle to master...

Over? This thread cannot be over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Germans? Forget it, he's rolling... What is next, General?

Quote: What is next, General? Therein lies the QUESTION.I have my favorites, of course. But it's been a long time since we did Morgan dollars or Barber coins. (Though "The 25 Days of Barber coins" from October 2012 seems to have developed a life of its own!!) What say you all?

I was going to suggest the 7070, but there have been three of those threads with the latest being last year May - Aug 2014.
So...how about a revisit of "21 Days of Carson City Coins"? That was last done Aug - Sep 2012.

Morgan dollars or Carson City. The Barber thread is epic. No need to restart that one just yet.

I don't think we have done a Mercury dime thread in a while. The problem with doing threads about early coins or odd denominations like Half Dimes, is that there are very few people who collect them as a series. Most collectors of these coins are specialists. Many early coins are also out of most people's budgets to begin with. Most people (including me) only get them to put them towards a type set. Mercury dimes are VERY popular, and lots of people collect them. popular series = more collectors = more contributors = more nice coins for us to look at!

Heh. I like the idea of doing Morgans, except that I bags of them covering every year (though not every mint mark) and I can't imagine finding the time to actually go through and photograph them all. I do have some select Morgans I'd be happy to show off, however.

How about another "7 Days of Trade dollars" thread? We haven't done that since 2012, and I certainly have picked up a nice example since then.

I think Morgans would be great, but in order to keep the thread from getting cluttered, I would break it into Morgans by mint. For example, a 'days of' Morgans from San Fransisco thread. Then a separate 'days of' thread for New Orleans Morgans, etc....

Morgan dollars have been done more recently than both Carson City and Mercury. Mercury is the oldest. I change my vote to Mercury.
