Yet again, I find something I find interesting. Hopefully I'm getting better at this and have finally found a double in chain. If not, well.I'm going to keep trying dang it!
I thought the mint mark looked doubled as well. But when I took the image below the circle effect really surprised me.
I have looked at this off and on for the last half hour. That mint mark is a little intriguing but I have decided that I think it is Machine Doubling. Will be interested in what coop or foundinrolls think.
Looks like die wear or plating movement. It it were a RPM, then just the mint mark would have been affected. It it were a doubled die, the devices except for the mint mark would have been affected. But when the date and mint mark are affected, the it either die wear or movement during the strike or plating movement. So it just a regular cent in tolerance that the mint allows.
