Obverse is over-exposed; reverse is good but needs to be rotated CCW a bit and needs some levels adjustments. Make sure the white box is over the brightest area of the coin or the camera will not set exposure correctly.

still work in progress but people have noticed the improvement.

I am ready to start playing with the microscope objective but it won't attach I think I missing a part or one is wrong.

Sorry, I am a harsh critic. Does look better. Your composite looks better than the original pic you posted.

You need the M42-RMS adapter. It will attach to the bellows, and objective attaches to it.

Nice colors. They will be even more vibrant with the lights at a higher angle.

Hello OcalaFlorida. I've been researching DSLR's on CC for a little while. I've been thinking about what I can buy just for macro use (no interest in any other photography). I looked at some used DSLR's on ebay and wondered what else I must buy to get just the macro shots (very little knowledge of photography) but your posts (and SuperDave's) have helped me understand I do need more than just the body and a lens.

The various models like Rebel, EOS, T1, T3, etc... are what I've looked at. I don't think I need anything cutting edge, a used older model should do. I'm on a fixed income so spending $$$ for the sake of getting the "ultimate" is not gong to happen. Only coin pics are in view. Would appreciate your comments on the various Canon models I might consider.

I'll list only a few current ones that I've looked at. Some are only selling the body, some have other accessories I may or may not need. (Looks like there are a lot of cheap "for parts only" cameras I need to avoid) If the ebay URL's don't come out, email me as I am not allowed to email members yet.
