But thank you for your input which was based on imaginary rules Mister Kairu I gave 5 squares and not 1 or 2 is because of several reason. How is the first player going to win. I'm sorry this game did not work with your schedule and you feel that you were cheated. I'll bet there are others who feel the same as you. If and when I have another contest I will have my friend attorney proof read the contest for anything that can lead to misunderstanding. All you said was first one to sink a ship wins. Not first pair to sink a ship or first group of hits to sink a ship.
It had nothing to do with how many shots you gave people. You gave people 5 shots to sink or hit a ship. If they hit it then that's as close as they got if they could sink it then they would win. If no one sunk a ship then closest to doing so would win.
I'm not worried about the schedule I don't think it's unfair because of that. It's unfair because you don't know how to explain something. I don't need an Ike its principal.
I know I'm right and even you know I'm right .

If you are going to pick winners based on rules you didn't state then just pick 2 people to give your coins away too and don't give people false hope. It's like saying first person to hit the triple twenty wins then taking the first 3 throwers darts and adding them together to equal sixty and saying the third person won based on other people's throws. When in fact they where no closer than the first person who hit the board

Just to clarify, a ship is sunk in battleship when the last grid cell that the ship is on is hit.

So a carny has a game to knock down all the bottles and you get 2 throws for 5 bottles. You make your throws and you hit only 2 bottles let's say even three or four . Does the carny reset the bottles per player or let the next guy throw 2 balls at one bottle. I'm pretty sure it reset per player. You know I remember when rules where like this it was in T-ball and I never understood it then. Even after 3 outs they still let everyone bat and take bases. Why play if you don't play it right I thought. My team lost but instead we are awarded for losing. That's the wrong msg. But hey since you combined with every other player managed to sink a ship here is your reward. Congrats great contest. Next time remind me so I can give everyone a participation trophy. What do you want a random Mercury dime for anyone who guessed? If you can guess the correct number of Mercury dimes I have then you can win . But wait if I by some coincidence can add your guess to someone else's and it happens to be the right number, then the second loser to guess wrong gets it. Yay Edited by tweak800

Sure I can understand where he is coming from with the rules being a little confusing but definitely not worth it since this was a GIVEAWAY from a wonderful CCF'er. Anyways, again, thank you for the contest johntookit and congrats to the winners!

Rule . If no one sinks the ship then person closest wins. How is that possible if we where all playing on the same grid? It's not possible because all the spaces would have been taken.

Tweak your frustration is noted by all. But please understand the means and continuing way you are going on negates any point you might make and comes off as a tantrum. It is a giveaway. You didn't invest anything but the time to pick some cells off a grid. So move on to the next one and try thanking the creator of the contest since they are the ones being generous.
